Master of Education - Teaching Profession at Vocational Schools

The study programme “M. Ed. - Teaching Profession at Vocational Schools” is structured as follows:

• Vocational field of study (30 credit points)

• General education subject (30 credit points)

• Vocational Education and Training as a third interdisciplinary field of study (27 credit points)

• Compulsory internship in a vocational school (10 credit points)

• Master thesis (20 credit points)

• Master thesis colloquium (3 points)

 

The studies of vocational education and training is accompanied with one of the following six vocational fields of study:

• Health science

• Nursing science

• Cosmetology

• Electrical engineering (in cooperation with Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences)

• Metal technology (in cooperation with Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences)

• Ecotrophology (in cooperation with Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences)

 

The studies of vocational education and training is accompanied with one of the following six study programmes

    • Health science
    • Nursing science
    • Cosmetology
    • Electrical engineering (in cooperation with Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences)
    • Metal technology (in cooperation with Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences)
    • Ecotrophology (in cooperation with Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences)

Entry requirements

A general requirement for enrollment is a valid university entrance qualification. For further information about specific entry requirements for the different study programmes and the application process, please visit the web pages of the Student Office.

Minimum general entry requirements for the admission for this Master programme are a

• Qualified Bachelor degree in the study programme B.A./B. Sc. Vocational Education. The average grade of the bachelor's degree as well as the subject grades in the education sciences are considered. Where applicable, further subject-related admission requirements exist. Further information can be found in the admission regulations;

• Equivalent Bachelor degree in a vocational field of study and a general education subject

• Equivalent Bachelor degree of a foreign higher education institution in a respective study programme. For institutions that are not in a Bologna signatory state, the equivalence will be determined in accordance with the suggestions of the Central Office for Foreign Education
